The end of the day
When our solar nexus
Goes to rest, painting
colors above the horizon
Time to reflect and be
thankful we've completed another day
Enjoy a refreshment
For unexplained reasons
or no reason at all
We are chased by sunrises
First light
Glimmers of new openings
Color shadings that change
by the second
Fluid purples to red yellow
good mornings
They're all delicious
because we're still here
Together, ready for new beginnings
Greeted by songs of island birds
and rooster crows on Kauai
Drink up.
